• 08:30 – Transfer to Tam Coc, often called “Ha Long Bay on land.” Take a relaxing sampan boat ride along the Ngo Dong River, passing through Ca Cave, Hai Cave, and Ba Cave. On both sides, limestone mountains rise above lush rice fields — especially beautiful during harvest seasons (May–June and September–October).
• 11:30 – Lunch at a local restaurant with regional dishes such as mountain goat, crispy rice, fermented shrimp paste, and wild vegetable soup.
• 13:00 – Visit Bich Dong Pagoda, known as “the second most beautiful cave pagoda in Vietnam.” The pagoda complex consists of Lower, Middle, and Upper Pagodas built along a limestone mountainside, offering scenic views over Tam Coc countryside.
• 15:00 – Explore Mua Cave, located at the foot of Ngoa Long Mountain. Climb nearly 500 stone steps winding like a miniature Great Wall to reach the summit. From the top, enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of Tam Coc’s river, rice fields, and limestone peaks — one of the most iconic photo spots in Ninh Binh.

DAY 3: CUC PHUONG NATIONAL PARK – PREHISTORIC CAVE

  Depart for Cuc Phuong National Park, Vietnam’s oldest national park.
• 08:00 – Begin exploring the primeval forest. Walk under towering ancient trees, breathe fresh forest air, and visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Center, home to rare and protected species.
• 11:30 – Lunch at a restaurant inside the park or nearby local restaurant.
• 13:00 – Visit the Prehistoric Man Cave, where archaeologists discovered human remains dating back thousands of years. Learn about ancient human life and see preserved fossils inside the cave.
  Continue trekking through forest trails (around 3 km), listening to birdsong, watching colorful butterflies, and admiring diverse flora. Stop by the famous 1,000-year-old Cho tree, a living symbol of Cuc Phuong.

• 13:30 – Continue to Thung Nham Ecotourism Area, known for wetlands, caves, and its natural bird sanctuary. Visit Buddha Cave, Vai Gioi Cave, and enjoy the highlight of watching thousands of birds returning to their nests in the late afternoon.
