DAY 1: TAM COC – MUA CAVE
- 06:00 – 08:30 – Private car picks you up at your requested location (Ninh Binh, Hanoi, or nearby areas).
- 08:30 – Visit Tam Coc, often called “Halong Bay on land.” Take a boat ride along the poetic Ngo Dong River, passing through three natural caves: Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba. Admire the dramatic limestone mountains and rice fields (most beautiful during harvest seasons in May–June and September–October).
- 12:00 – Lunch at a local restaurant with Ninh Binh specialties such as mountain goat meat, crispy rice, and local vegetable soup.
- 14:00 – Explore Mua Cave Viewpoint, one of the most iconic check-in spots in Ninh Binh. Climb around 500 stone steps to reach the top of Mua Mountain and enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view over Tam Coc valley. Take photos with the stone dragon statue, Quan Am statue, and the golden rice fields below.

DAY 2: VAN LONG – MUONG VILLAGE – THIEN HA CAVE
- 07:00 – Breakfast at the hotel. Check out.
- 08:00 – Transfer to Van Long Nature Reserve, the largest wetland nature reserve in Northern Vietnam, known as the “bay without waves.” Take a traditional bamboo boat ride across calm waters, admire the rich ecosystem and majestic limestone mountains, and if lucky, spot the rare Delacour’s langurs.
- 10:30 – Visit a Muong ethnic village in Nho Quan, one of the few villages that still preserves traditional Muong culture. Meet local people, explore simple stilt houses, and learn about daily life, traditional costumes, and weaving crafts.
- 12:00 – Lunch at a Muong local house or restaurant, featuring traditional dishes such as bamboo-tube grilled meat, five-color sticky rice, and wild vegetables.
- 13:00 – Stroll through peaceful mountain scenery and terraced fields. Continue learning about Muong culture, relax by rice paddies and tea gardens, and take photos of the rustic countryside.
- 14:30 – Explore Thien Ha Cave, known as the “Galaxy inside the mountain.” Take a hand-rowed boat along a small river into the mysterious cave, where stunning stalactites sparkle like stars underground. This is an inspiring and unique natural discovery.

Tam Coc is most beautiful during the rice harvest season from late May to mid-June, when the Ngo Dong River is surrounded by golden rice fields on both sides. From October to December, water lilies bloom, creating a romantic pink and purple scenery, especially in the early morning. Additionally, February to April is the season of lush green young rice, with pleasant weather that is perfect for a peaceful boat trip.
